William Marchant’s practice focuses on real estate litigation including commercial landlord/tenant disputes, quiet title actions, land use litigation, and easement disputes.

Mr. Marchant also has experience in a wide range of general commercial litigation for a variety of companies and individuals, including cases regarding insurance coverage, employment disputes (including discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful termination), breach of contract claims, professional negligence (real estate agents and insurance brokers), and unfair competition/unfair business practices under California Business and Professions Code Section 17200 et seq. He has successfully represented some of the nation’s largest real estate developers, title companies and insurance brokerage firms in the successful resolution of disputes.

Mr. Marchant has substantial experience working on jury trials, court trials, binding arbitrations, judicial arbitrations, and mediations throughout California. He has successfully argued appeals in the Ninth Circuit and the California Courts of Appeal.

Representing national retailer in California wage and hour class action and dispute over enforcement of arbitration agreement. 

Representing developer in multi-party dispute regarding completion of public works contract. 

Representing title companies in wrongful termination, and wage and hour cases. 

Representing temporary employment and technology firms in wrongful termination and other employment claims. 

Representing insurers in the evaluation and litigation of complex insurance coverage disputes, including multi-party complex construction defect litigation.
