Lizbeth Flores is an attorney admitted to practice law in Mexico, California and New York. Ms. Flores' focus is on international corporate transactions, including cross-border investments in Latin America, primarily Mexico.

Recent Work/Representative Matters

Representation of U.S. investor/developers who are involved in the purchase and development of land in Mexico for commercial, industrial and/or residential uses. The firm's work includes advice on alternative U.S./Mexican corporate structures to be used as a vehicle for investment; incorporation of U.S. and Mexican legal entities; negotiating and drafting joint venture agreements, shareholders' agreements and operating agreements; referrals of Mexican local counsel and supervision of legal work performed by local counsel, including due diligence on Mexican property titles, environmental and construction permits and licenses; and drafting and negotiating construction agreements.

Representation of a U.S. client who seeks to provide educational programs and other services in Mexico, including advice on the appropriate international corporate tax strategy and related negotiation and drafting of joint venture agreements.

Representation of U.S. clients introducing and selling products in Mexico with respect to intellectual property matters, including registration of Mexican Copyrights and Trademarks and negotiating and drafting licensing agreements.

Representation of Silicon Border Development S. de R.L. de C.V. and its U.S. affiliates in connection with the financing and development of an industrial park in Mexicali, Baja California, focused on companies in the semiconductor, flat panel display and solar panel businesses. The first purchaser of land in the industrial park is Q-Cells of Germany, which has the highest sales of solar panels in the world.
