Charles Maher's focus is in the representation of bankruptcy trustees, creditors' committees, and creditors in a variety of bankruptcy, insolvency, and workout situations. Mr. Maher has represented trustees in liquidations or real estate investment businesses, loan brokers, restaurant chains, law firms, individuals with substantial real estate holdings, and high technology companies, and has represented committees of creditors in Chapter 11 cases involving wineries and other businesses. He has assisted clients in the sale of real property and personal property assets of many types in bankruptcy court proceedings, has provided advice to trustees in hundreds of cases, and has assisted creditor committees in enforcing their rights in the bankruptcy court.
